At Odyssey Charter Schools, we nurture the whole child. Our small class sizes create meaningful connections between diverse students, families, and staff, fostering a strong sense of community. We combine rigorous academics with social and emotional support so every student feels seen, supported, and valued. In this engaging, inclusive environment, children discover their interests, broaden their knowledge, and thrive both socially and academically.
Odyssey gives students the foundation to grow on two campuses rooted in Altadena. Odyssey Charter School provides a Kindergarten - 8th grade campus. OCS-South educates students in TK through 8th grade. Our roots are firmly planted and we are welcoming families ready to grow together. Join us.
Our charter public schools are open to all California students — no entrance tests, no tuition, and no special requirements. If more students apply than we have space for, we’ll hold a public lottery. Families will then receive either an offer for enrollment or a waitlist number.

Every classroom at Odyssey and OCS-South is led by an experienced, credentialed teacher. Our classroom sizes are 26 students in Transitional Kindergarten through 3rd grade, and 28 students in grades 4th through 8th.
Diversity is a key element and distinguishing characteristic of our school community. Our multifaceted learning environment embraces the individual and varied learning styles of a diverse student body. Through active learning environments and classrooms, students experience learning in both traditional and innovative ways that blend content, modalities, approaches, and pedagogies.
Our approach to diversity is focusing on the intentionality to serve a diverse population and not one that is racially isolated or overly representative of any one group or characteristic. We define diversity in its broadest sense to include race/ethnicity, gender, language, socioeconomic status, ability, religious beliefs, political affiliations, and family composition.
