Odyssey Charter School Blog

Thank you, Odyssey Community!

March 27, 2012

Casino Night was a smash. Thank you to everyone who contributed to class baskets, bought raffle tickets, and helped out in so many ways. Much, much appreciation to everyone on the fundraising crew especially Neil and Laura Kubon, Tina Jimenez, Val Robinson, Rebecca Mercado, Rhonda Graham, Erin Gamble, and Mr. Carlos. We don't have the final numbers yet but the event sold out and the auctions were a success.

Mr. Bilandzija has made it to the final four in The Great American Teach-Off: America's Most Innovative Teacher. This week and next week may be tough as we head into Spring Break, so please, please, please find a way to continue to remind yourself to vote every day.

Finally, the current OPPG Board has enjoyed a wonderful year, but it's time to get ready for next year. Please take some time over the break to consider if next year is a good time for you to step up and help out Odyssey by being a part of the OPPG Board. After Spring Break, we will need a nominating committee to help gather next year's board and run the elections. If you are interested in helping with the nominating committee or being on the OPPG Board, please contact me or any OPPG board member for more information.

Thank you,
Mia Picerno
OPPG Chair

September 28, 2011

 Dear OCS Families,

A quick note to say that we will have (4) boxes available for purchase on Thursday if you have not had a chance to sign up for the program yet. You can come to the Teacher's Lounge on Thursday, 9/29 between 2:30 and 4:30 and let the coordinators know that you would like to buy a box. The boxes are $21 and $3 of each box will go to the school. You can give payment to the coordinators. Cash or check, made out to Odyssey Charter School.

Also, for those families who have children in Tom Sawyer after school, the coordinators can help facilitate delivery of a box to Tom Sawyer. Just email Jennifer Wenzlaff at jenwenzlaff@pacbell.net and let her know you need help and she can get your box to Tom Sawyer for pick up when you pick up your child.

Thank you for your support of Odyssey and the Odyssey Produce Collective!
