Readers and Writers Workshop (Lucy Caulkins from Teachers College) curriculum for all K-8th graders


Everyday Mathematics for kindergarten through fifth graders
Mathscape for middle school students.

Ongoing Professional Development for all teachers. (Sent seven teachers to Teachers College at Columbia University summer of 2006; sent six staff members to Project Zero at Harvard University summer 2003)

Extended day program for students to receive intervention/enrichment for three hours per week.

Teacher Assistants in all kindergarten through third grade classrooms.

All students receive music literacy instruction through the SAPPA (Scholarship Audition Performance Preparatory Academy)

New 30-station computer lab to support the curriculum. Thanks to our generous donors at the Ahmanson and Weingart foundations.

Art courses offered by resident artist

Visual Literacy/Media Studies course offered to all middle school students.

Partnership with San Marino Unified School District from the National School Lunch Program.

Middle school students participate in poetry and writing workshops offered by PEN in the classroom.
