About Jessica Yarger

The 2010/2011 school year will be my 6th year teaching at Odyssey. I came to Odyssey as a new teacher, and, over the last five years, have honed my teaching skills to teach creatively and effectively in the workshop model. I believe that a student centered classroom based on student choice and a respectful, safe environment is central to creating a community in which all students can learn and thrive.

I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. I finished my MA in Human Development this summer at Pacific Oaks College, the same school from which I completed my teaching credential. 

I am looking forward to another amazing year at Odyssey!
