About Erin Munavu

Erin is excited for her second year as part of the Odyssey community! This is her fourth year teaching. Erin is committed to progressive education and believes in teaching through authentic learning experiences. She especially loves teaching young children writing and watching their creativity and academic strengths blossom through their stories and poems.

Erin grew up in Los Angeles and went to USC, but always draws on her international experience. She completed her Masters at Teachers College in New York, where she focused on Early Childhood Education and making sure children are getting learning experiences that are hands-on, build on their past and present personal experiences and interests, and can grow at their own appropriate rates. In her spare time, she loves to travel, read, learn more about being green, camp with her husband, Sundi, and dog, Manny, and spend time with her family.
