Odyssey is free public charter school in the Altadena community. We invite all families to explore our website and classroom webpages to learn more about our programs, educational approaches, and instructional methods before applying. Additionally, we strongly encourage all families to attend an Enrollment Tour!


All applications must be received by 9:00pm on March 8, 2017 in order to be considered for fall 2017 enrollment!

SECOND CAMPUS UPDATE

As of March 3, 2017, we have learned that our anticipated approval has been delayed and is now slated for review and approval by the CA State Board of Education in May 2017. We anticipate the Lottery for Campus 2 to take place in May 2017 pending approval from the CA State Board of Education. The lottery for Campus 1 remains scheduled for Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 10:00am. If you would like to apply to Campus 1, please log into your SchoolMint account, and apply to Campus 1 by the the March 8, 2017 deadline. 

Applying to Odyssey

All families interested in applying for admission to Odyssey must complete an Application for Admission. The application can be accessed by clicking on the button below. 
*Students must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2017 in order to be elegible for Kindergarten*

You may also apply and monitor your enrollment and waitlist position via the SchoolMint app available for Apple and Android devices.

Enrollment Preferences

Admission preferences are offered in the following order:

  1. Children of current Odyssey employees who apply for the campus where the employee works
  2. Siblings of currently enrolled Odyssey students who apply for the same campus their sibling attends
  3. Students who are eligible to receive free or reduced price lunch (To verify eligibility, click here)
  4. Students who are currently enrolled in or reside in the attendance area of Franklin Elementary School of Pasadena Unified School District. (To verify if Franklin is your designated school, click here)  
  5. All other students

If you beleive you meet any of the criteria for an admission preference, please indicate this on your Application. Enrollment preferences will be verified once you are offered a space for enrollment; if you are unable to provide proof of enrollment preferences you will lose the offered enrollment space and be placed at the end of our waitlist.

To provide families an opportunity to view our campus, classrooms, and instruction we invite all families to attend an Enrollment Tour. Tours are offered on the following dates and times

Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 9:00am

Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 9:00am

Second Campus Update

For the past months, Odyssey has been working with various entities at the State and local level seeking approval for the opening of a second campus location. This second site is being planned for opening in September 2017 and would offer grades Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 5th grade, and would add one grade annually until reaching TK-8 at full capacity. As of January 2017, we await final approval from the State Board of Education and will post updates on our website and this page as they become available.
