Our goal is to create a fully integrated and functioning edible learning garden that will not only produce food for the school, but serve as a dynamic outdoor classroom for the entire community. Last year, on Earth Day, we planted 2o different fruit trees on the east side of the field. We are partnering with the Fruit Tree Planting Foundation on December 8 to plant another 20 fruit trees in our garden. Students recently installed an herb spiral, and we will continue sheet mulching and installing gardens, pathways and benches until the entire space is cultivated for food production and learning.
