7th/8th Grade Language Arts Teacher

About Daryl Bilandzija

This is Daryl's 10th year as a teacher, and his 3rd year at Odyssey. Before coming to Odyssey, Daryl taught high school English in San Francisco and dowtown L.A. In addition to teaching English, Daryl has brought sustainability into the classroom and has given his students opportunities to explore these issues in real world contexts. Daryl established an internship program at his former high school where he taught students woodworking and Permaculture design. He is also excited to be developing the theater arts program at Odyssey, and is looking forward to another year of learning with his new and returning students. Daryl is especially happy to be teaching at the same school where his two daughters attend.

Daryl received his B.A. in English from Sonoma State University, his teaching credential from San Francisco State University and is completing his Masters in Urban Sustainability from Antioch University Los Angeles.
